Spotaplot has a clear vision; we want to help solve the housing crisis in the UK and other countries.

We have a long journey ahead of us but we can see the finish line. To get to the finish line we have to take one step at a time.

Our first step is developing cutting-edge, geospatial technology allowing anyone to evaluate potential building land instantly - hence the birth of Spotaplot.

We have a dedicated team of professionals with tremendous drive. Together, we are going to continue developing ground-breaking software to help make our world a better place.

Peter Bowdler
Founder and CEO

A visionary entrepreneur with a proven track record. Peter's experience includes building a successful e-commerce super-brand and group of companies consisting of B2c and a B2b distribution centre, which he exited in 2002.

An inventor of products, brands, and business models, Peter has developed, amongst other projects, unique pharmaceutical products and worked with GSK, Wyeth, Pfizer and Lloyds Pharmacy at board level.

Other experience includes successful fundraising with VC's, Family Offices and Financial Institutions.

Nick Giles
Strategy

In October 2013 Nick took on responsibility for retail business at Ordnance Survey (OS) and in September 2015 - 17 also took on the responsibility of Director of Marketing & Communications. He became a Non-Executive Director of Dennis Maps Ltd in December 2015. Nick now leads all consumer activity within OS with the focus on helping more people to get outside more often.

In May 2018 Nick also became a Board member of the UK Outdoor Industries Association.

Nick's background is in general insurance marketing, holding senior management roles at RSA, LV= and Aviva. Prior to joining OS, Nick ran sales and marketing for the RAC, the UK's second largest breakdown organisation, where he was responsible for a department of over 250 FTEs and a budget of £25m, as well as a business portfolio of over £300m.

Ed Morey
CTO

Ed is a degree educated engineer (BEng Hons Civil Engineering, Bristol 1986) who has worked in the computer software and more recently, cloud application industries for over 30 years – defining products / solutions / strategies and managing their implementation.

He is a skilled communicator, with the ability to facilitate the exchange of ideas between executive & technical teams. Ed qualified as a PRINCE2 project manager in 2008.

His broad range of skills have evolved as a result of challenging roles as a software product manager, technical director at a regional ISP and general manager of a digital media agency, meaning he has a well-rounded understanding of the business context of delivering innovative solutions.

Richard Burkitt
COO

Originally an applications developer, Richard turned his hand to the Internet in 2000.

He has the experience to take development projects from initial brief, through specification to the final product. His deep knowledge of coding, analytical skill and database knowledge combined with an experience of producing websites optimised for search engines, gives him a particular set of skills ideally tailored to provide, cost effective solutions to a wide range of technology related problems. His eye for design and attention to detail ensures the highest standard of work is produced by both himself and the teams he works with.

Digital Marketing

Coming from a background in sales and marketing, and having spent most of his career working in and around technology, Chris’ main focus today is helping ambitious internet companies launch and grow.

With skills and experience spanning most areas of digital marketing and business generation, Chris is a hands-on marketer who plays a part in everything from initial strategy through to campaign delivery and analysis. Having been involved in numerous successful start-ups and building a digital agency himself from scratch, he brings a broad range of skills and experience to the team, along with a hunger and drive for success.

Advisory Board

Matt is able to apply a design-thinking approach to help businesses understand their positioning, their messaging and their audience's motivations, and he uses these tools to help authentic brands evolve.

Through his agency Wise Old Uncle, Matt has worked with some impressive organisations, including the UK's largest crowd funding platform, the UK's most respected insurance company and a global leader in mapping technology, helping them discover their voice, grow their audience and develop products and services fit for the 21st century. A regular feature on many annual digital lists including the BIMA's Top 100, the Maserati 100 and the Digital Leaders Top 100, where he came Runner Up as SME Digital Leader of the Year. Matt is an influential digital champion in the UK and his counsel has been sought by the likes of 10 Downing Street and St James' Palace.
