Spotaplot's patent-pending technology uses a dizzying array of datasets and sources of information to produce their Plot Reports.
Not only that, but there's some complex algorithms in there too as Ed Morey, Spotaplot's Chief Technology Officer explains, "We knew that if our product was going to work, we were going to have to totally rethink the way in which suitable plots were found. Not only that, but we needed technology to do the heavy lifting."
Ed and his team spent months researching the market, understanding how plots were discovered and valued. And then rather than simply replicate this by using computers, the team built an intelligent system that learnt what was needed and found an alternative, better and quicker way.
"Sometimes we assume that the way in which something is done, is the only way it can be done," Ed said. "Technology - computers and algorithms - don't think like that. Once you've worked out the mathematical formula, the machine makes the whole process easier, which we have patented."
The Spotaplot Plot Report enables users to assess the viability of plot, reasonably estimate the gross development value as well as providing much of the information needed to seek planning permission. All at the push of a button.
And because Spotaplot's technology is constantly scanning the English and Welsh landscapes, and updating its database in nanoseconds, the data is always fresh and relevant.
